Make your bird feel safer with a bird swing

Often a bird will go to the highest point in the cage as this is where it feels safest. Instinct tells them predators are more likely to come from the ground and in the wild you find birds such as Macaw Parrots will sit in the tree canopy.

Our swings for birds mean they can roost and perch somewhere high up in the cage where they feel safe and will often sit for hours on a swing preening their feathers.

Some birds like to sleep on a bird swing, this is commonly found with swings for African Grey Parrots and swings for Senegal Parrots.

We have a huge selection of parrot swings at Scarletts Parrot Essentials ranging from wooden bird swings to nail trimming bird swings.

If you purchase a nail trimming swing please ensure you buy a large size, this means the nails will sit on the perch as opposed to wrapping around the perch, which would not trim the nails properly.

We have major brands of parrot swings in stock, Zoo Max bird toys and Adventure bound are the leading brands. Cheap bird swings are often the ones birds like the most! Our rope rectangles and rope hoops for birds make great climbing toys and double up as a swing too!

If you are unsure which swings to buy you can let us do the work for you and just purchase our bird swing pack, a selection of swings chosen by us. You will find some really unique and different styles of swings like the Superbird flying trapeze, also available in the mini trapeze for small birds. These are swinging grassy platforms on hanging chains for your bird to chew and swing on.

We have the very popular starship bird toy which is a double swing making this perfect for 2 birds to use at the same time.

If you have a bird aviary you can add several bird swings to avoid fighting and give your birds their own areas to perch and play. Rather than having to add bird perches everywhere or in places a bird won't reach; you can place a swing next to some bird toys so they are easy to reach and chew.

If you need a swing for Parakeets then our most popular styles are the rope bird swings whereas the larger Macaw swings made from concrete are more robust and last longer. Having a variety of swings in the birdcage means you can remove them for cleaning and replace them with another swing. Cleaning swings with our F10 bird cleaning products makes sure they stay free from bacteria.
